About Me

Hi, I am Carol and I live with myself and my cat, Jenson, in the Forest of Dean, UK.  After 3 University degrees and 30 years of work in the field of Psychology, I found myself in a dark place. I was ill and had no job or income.  Then menopause hit me hard; anxiety, panic attacks, constant day and night sweats, memory loss, hair and skin issues.  I also had bad back pains, a frozen shoulder and I lost the hearing in my right ear.  I was depressed and fearful for the future. I had lost my worth. I felt alone and disconnected.

As I lay in bed, trying to ignore all the negative voices in my head, I became quiet and asked for help. Finally, I heard a little voice deep inside me that offered hope.   This inner voice, or ‘inner genie’ showed me how I could take back control of my life.

I am in a much lighter place now and I would like to share the information and tools that helped me (and are still helping me) because they might help you too. 

About This Blog

This blog is for those of you who need to make changes in your life. You may find yourself having to adjust to change that has been thrust upon you…. Or you may wish to make changes because life has become too boring and you feel that there is ‘something more’.  

Many people will offer you advice on what to do.  It can be confusing and overwhelming.  Where do you start? Who do you listen to? I too was confused at first. But now I want to tell you that you, and only you, have the key to a better future. You can connect with the power inside you and command it to show you how to lead a better life.

I am writing this blog to show you the information and tools that helped me to connect and command my inner genie.

I will also be writing about people, ideas and science that inspire me to lead a happier life. I hope that this knowledge will help you to.
